Did you know that Princess and the Frog's star character Tiana is actually the sixth official Disney princess? The other five are Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, and Ariel from the Little Mermaid. The Disney Discoveries series entails Disney RECENT features which will become classics but are too new yet to be given that title. The Disney Discovery Series is dedicated to the new and upcoming Disney fans who did not grow up with the original classics but rather, will grow up with the new Disney movies. Kinkade's Disney Discovery series will likely comprise of 6 to 8 paintings but the official number has not been set yet. Thomas Kinkade will likely release one Disney Discoveries painting every one to two years.

In order for a Disney movie to qualify for Thomas Kinkade's Disney Dreams series, it must be an original hand drawn animation blockbuster release with an original score.

The Princess and the Frog by Thomas Kinkade captures the entire Disney story in one image (just like the Disney Dreams collection). The story takes place in New Orleans so Thom captured the luminescent New Orleans Bayou. You'll find Big Daddy's large mansion which Thomas Kinkade actually painted as a tribute to Disneyland's "Haunted Mansion." You'll find the riverboat coasting on the waters and look for Mark Twain and Tiana's parents along with Tiana as an infant on the riverboat. You'll also find Ray leading the parade of Fireflies. By the way, if you purchase this painting from our galleries, be sure to have it highlighted because the Master Highlighter really puts attention into the fireflies making them look as if they come to life. Of course you'll find our main characters Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen in both their frog and human state.
