Spirit of New York is a wonderful painting capturing the true nature of New York, from the Brooklyn Bridge, the lights of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Thom actually sketched the Spirit of New York while on a boat on the East River.
Thomas Kinkade painted himself and his wife Nanette in the row boat and wanted to include the busy cargo ships and military vessels.
