Once Disney saw the great potential Thomas Kinkade had for depicting the parks, they asked him to do a 12 part series titled “The Disney Dreams Collection.” This series started off with the much beloved “Snow White Discovers the Cottage.”

Since then, 8 more have been released and we are only 3 away from completing the series.

In 2009, Disney asked Thomas Kinkade to create a masterwork based on the new hand-animated movie “The Princess and the Frog.” This started a separate series titled “Disney Discovers Collection.” So far, “The Princess and the Frog” is the only release within this series.

Thomas Kinkade is expected to start releasing a new series starting in the Fall of 2012 based on classic Disney theme park attractions. Pirates of the Caribbean is speculated to be the first release in this series. Pirates of the Caribbean the ride opened up in Disneyland in 1967 and has become a staple franchise of Disney leading to the hit movies staring Johnny Depp. We expect Johnny Depp’s character Jack Sparrow to take a prominent role in the painting as well. Stay on the look out for this release because we expect it to sell out extremely fast.

“Gazebo of Prayer” is a stunning masterwork with vibrant, colorful flowers and trees throughout the composition. “Rosebud Cottage” is a vibrant, colorful, cottage scene based on an English countryside. A lot of his cottages are based on his travels with his wife through England.
“Nanette’s Cottage” is a painting dedicated to his wife, Nanette. In there travels through England, Nanette mentioned wanting to live in this particular home, so Thom decided to immortalize it with oil and canvas.

Thomas Kinkade spent hours upon hours of work on Courageous Voyage, putting in the detail of the ship, sunset, and seas. Thomas Kinkade’s Courageous Voyage looks magnificent under the light and upon dimming the lights, you’ll see an incredible transformation of the sunset and ocean. The detail Thomas Kinkade put in the rig and its sails also allows us to capture a moment in history. The second one in the Warner Brothers series is “Gone with the Wind.” Thomas Kinkade does an amazing job at bringing the full movie into one image. He brings out the romance between Rhett and Scarlett in the foreground, while bringing the “Old South” to life in the background.

The next one in the series is scheduled to be released this year and we are expecting it to be another “Wizard of Oz” painting. Since “The Wizard of Oz” has so many terrific scenes and fantasic set design, Warner Brothers Studios wants Thom to complete a series of paintings dedicated to this one movie.

“I remember seeing a painting of a similar subject in a church as I was growing up and the image has always stuck with me. Perhaps I realized then that this was my chance to create a composition reinterpreting this scene. Here we see Jesus strolling comfortably with Peter. In his hands, Peter holds the symbolic keys to God’s kingdom. What truths and insights could they be sharing? How marvelous to have the chance to listen in on the kind and insightful words of the Savior as He patiently shares wisdom with those He loves.”

” Romeo and Juliet. Anthony and Cleopatra. History is filled with couples bound together forever in the social mind because of their undeniable and storied relationships. As it was with these others…so it is with Rhett and Scarlett. Indeed, to me, there has been no greater romance ever chronicled than that of the dashing hero and strong-willed heroine of “GONE WITH THE WIND” Perhaps it is the tragic backdrop of the Civil War that serves to enhance the emotional impact of this storied love affair.
