There are 4 different structures of Thomas Kinkade Galleries to choose from:


Thomas Kinkade Premier Galleries: typically specialize in different product lines and Thomas Kinkade merchandise is usually just a side note to the other lines they carry. Premier Galleries typically have a very small choice of Kinkade product to choose from and are limited in what editions they can carry. Thomas Kinkade Premier Galleries cannot sell Renaissance Editions (R/Es), Studio Proof Editions (S/Ps) or Master Editions (M/Es) and I have found staff is not too knowledgeable about the Thomas Kinkade product as well.


Thomas Kinkade Showcase Galleries: I’ve seen some with a wide variety of Thomas Kinkade product lines and others with hardly any. Therefore, Showcase Galleries are really a hit or miss but they too are limited in what editions they can carry. Thomas Kinkade Showcase Galleries cannot sell Renaissance Editions (R/Es), Studio Proof Editions (S/Ps) or Master Editions (M/Es) and as a result of this, their staff typically won’t know what these editions are.


Thomas Kinkade Signature Silver Galleries: One of our Colorado Galleries (Colorado Seasons) is proud to have been the first Thomas Kinkade Silver Signature Gallery to open in 2008. A Thomas Kinkade Signature Silver Gallery can carry all Thomas Kinkade editions except Studio Proofs or Master Editions. However, our Colorado Signature Silver Gallery compensates by getting these editions from our Signature Gold Gallery in Cherry Creek Colorado. What distinguishes a Thomas Kinkade Signature Silver Gallery from a Thomas Kinkade Signature Gold Gallery is that a Silver Gallery carries other artists and products, not just Thomas Kinkade.


Thomas Kinkade Signature Gold Galleries: See above description of Thomas Kinkade Signature Silver Galleries. A Signature Gold Gallery specializes in carrying Thomas Kinkade product lines only. However, I have found many Thomas Kinkade Galleries labeled with a “Gold” status, when they really should have a “Silver” Status. This is an area the Thomas Kinkade Company has not had the time or resources to do thorough check ups on.


PURCHASING KINKADE ON EBAY OR OTHER UNAUTHORIZED SELLERS:


There are many websites and sellers who claim to be official dealers but are not! Many of these sellers claim to provide discounted pricing as well to entice the buyer. You should be forewarned that Thomas Kinkade has strict policies and regulations which his authorized galleries must follow in order to keep the integrity of his paintings in tact. Authorized Kinkade Galleries who violate these terms typically lose their license.


Unauthorized sellers will often sell canvases which may have small defects, be fraudulent pieces, and have no support from the Thomas Kinkade Company if anything were to go wrong. If you are going to invest in a lifetime investment such as a Thomas Kinkade painting you should do it the right way by purchasing from an authorized Thomas Kinkade Signature Gallery.
