Although Thom frequently toured in the 1990′s, since Thom purchased the Company in 2002, he has decided to be with his family and paint at home rather than tour. Therefore, tour dates are very rare. Currently Thomas Kinkade will only visit some of his preferred galleries and usually just over a couple weekends per year. Our galleries in Colorado are fortunate enough to be included as one of Thom’s preferred galleries to visit.
Thomas Kinkade will be visiting Denver on November 20th, 2010. Since we anticipate approximately 2000 people in attendance, this event is scheduled to be held at Invesco Field (Home of the Denver Broncos) in their luxurious East Club Level Section. Doors will open at 10 am in which over 100 of Thomas Kinkade’s art will be on display and for sale. Thom will autograph the back of all the paintings purchased at this event. Thomas Kinkade will take the stage at approximately noon and those in attendance will hear Thom speak for about 30 minutes in which he shares his personal thoughts and inspirations behind his paintings and will do a questions and answers period as well. In addition we will be holding a live auction of a Thomas Kinkade original in which 100% of the proceeds of this auction will be donated to the Tim Tebow Foundation. There will also be raffle tickets sold at the event, also of which 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Tim Tebow Foundation. Raffle prizes will consist of Thomas Kinkade and Tim Tebow Memorabilia.
Our two Thomas Kinkade Signature Galleries are proud to announce our partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation (www.timtebowfoundation.org). Tim Tebow won 2 National Championships at the University of Florida along with the Heisman Trophy Award in 2007. Tim was also drafted in the First Round by The Denver Broncos Association. However, it’s not just Tim’s talent which impressed us but rather how he uses his talent and fame. Tim strives to give back to his community, especially children, and we are proud to have him representing Colorado and the Denver Broncos.
When Thomas Kinkade approached the owner of the Thomas Kinkade Signature Galleries (John McIntire) about selecting a charity to raise funds for this event, John informed Thom of the ironic similarities between Tim and Thom. Both are truly gifted in their fields and are National Celebrities to their occupations, both love to give back to their communities, and both are strong devout Christians. In fact, while playing for the Florida Gators in the 2009 BCS Championship Game, Tim wore the Biblical Verse John 3:16 on his eye paint which resulted in 92 million google searches on Google in reference to that verse during or immediately after that game. Coincidentally, since becoming a published artist, whenever Thom finishes with a new Masterpiece, after signing the painting, Thom almost always includes John 3:16 under his signature.
